techUK screening: People’s Emergency Briefing
techUK will be hosting a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing, a 50-min film which contextualises scientific content about the climate and nature crisis, followed by a discussion and a networking reception.
We are deliberately opening this event beyond techUK’s usual climate and sustainability network, and inviting members to invite colleagues or connections to come and learn about what climate and nature breakdown means for our health, food systems, national security, and economy – and discuss what we can all do about it.
The post-film discussion will be led by members of our Climate Council, drawing on techUK’s work across sustainability policy, the circular economy, nature and biodiversity, critical minerals, and the role of digital technology in the transition. It is a chance to ask questions and think through what the film’s findings mean in practice for the tech sector.
